Matthew Scott, Elvis Ministry music, travels and performs with a purpose to show care, concern and bring the joy of Jesus to those that are hurting and lonely. Even in the OT God expected that the elderly be cared for and treated with respect (Lev. 19:32) Jesus said whatever you do so for hungry, thirsty, the sick, the hurting and in need physically or spiritually you do for him (Matthew 25:45).
Matthew Scott accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior when he was 9 years old, grew up in a Christian family and even graduated from a Christian college. He has been active in full time ministry since he was 23 working in Churches, but for the last 16 years his ministry has included facilities. He travels 8 states throughout the week and is actively involved in a church each Sunday.
As Matthew Scott states “While I enjoy performing Elvis I realize I am not Elvis and that is just a performance. I see my purpose and doing ministry and reminding people of the love of Jesus Christ. While majority of my shows are Elvis tribute shows in every show that I do I always do gospel music and I remind people that I'm a Christian. Its not about preaching a sermon its about loving the residents. My greatest fulfillment is to be able to go into a facility or church and to be able to help and encourage people that are hurting and to bring a smile, a laugh, and a physical touch that says I care. My highlight is when I sing a couple of gospel songs, and this way I'm able to connect them with Jesus Christ.”
Matthew also believes strongly in the ideals on which America was founded and he treasures the freedoms we enjoy. In every show the veterans are recognized and the American flag is raised.
